Heat pump manufacturers
The right heat pump starts with the home.
Enerus designs air source heat-pump systems across the North East, comparing suitable manufacturers only after we understand the property, required output, hot-water demand and installation constraints.

Explore the manufacturers
Different ranges solve different design problems.
Filter the range and open a manufacturer page to explore its heat pumps, cylinders, indoor equipment and controls. These are useful routes to investigate—not a replacement for proper system design.

Ebac heat pumps
British-built air source heat pumps developed for UK homes and changing weather conditions.

Vaillant heat pumps
aroTHERM plus with standard or slimline uniSTOR cylinders and sensoCOMFORT system control.

Samsung heat pumps
EHS outdoor units, ClimateHub options and connected control through SmartThings and EHS AI Home.

Ideal heat pumps
HP290 and additional Ideal ranges with standard, slimline and pre-plumbed cylinder options.

Grant heat pumps
Aerona 290 and Aerona³ equipment with Grant hot-water cylinders and dedicated controls.

Warmflow heat pumps
Zeno R290 heat pumps with Nero cylinder packages and Warmlink remote connectivity.

Mitsubishi Electric
Ecodan outdoor units, cylinder and hydrobox routes with FTC and MELCloud control options.

Daikin heat pumps
Altherma monobloc and split routes with wall-mounted, integrated and separate hot-water storage.

Midea heat pumps
M-Thermal equipment with monobloc, hydraulic and integrated hot-water arrangements.

Clivet heat pumps
EDGE and SPHERA ranges with BOX, TOWER and integrated storage arrangements.

Panasonic heat pumps
Aquarea L and M Generation equipment with hydrobox and All-in-One storage options.

Viessmann heat pumps
Vitocal 150-A and 151-A systems with wall-mounted or integrated-storage indoor units.
Intergas heat pumps
Xceed all-electric and Xtend hybrid options for properties with different transition requirements.

Trianco heat pumps
Activair equipment including outdoor R290 and indoor heat-pump arrangements.
Design before brand
We do not start with a favourite box.
A useful manufacturer comparison begins with the building and the people living in it. The equipment follows from the evidence.
- Output at the local winter condition
- Emitter duty at the proposed flow temperature
- Hot-water capacity and recovery
- Sound, siting and service clearances
- Electrical supply and hydraulic design
- Controls, warranty and aftercare
How Enerus selects a system
Four checks before a recommendation.
Understand the home
We establish the existing heating, building fabric, occupancy, hot-water use and the outcome the household wants.
Calculate the demand
A room-by-room heat-loss calculation establishes the required heating duty and identifies where emitter changes may be worthwhile.
Compare suitable equipment
We check manufacturer performance data at the required temperatures—not merely the output printed in a product name.
Design the complete system
The outdoor unit, cylinder, hydraulics, emitters, electrical supply and controls are brought together in one proposal.
Controls matter
The controller is part of the heating system.
Weather compensation, sensible scheduling and a representative room reference can materially affect comfort and efficiency. We specify the control route with the equipment—not as an afterthought.

Homely
A third-party optimisation route for supported heat pumps, configured around the property and compatible system hardware.

Vaillant sensoCOMFORT
Vaillant’s system control for coordinating weather compensation, heating zones and domestic hot water.

Samsung EHS AI Home
A connected Samsung interface with system information and supported SmartThings integration.
Control compatibility depends on the selected heat pump, indoor equipment, accessories and manufacturer requirements. Enerus confirms the complete control architecture during design.
Frequently asked questions
Choosing a heat-pump manufacturer.
Which is the best heat pump manufacturer?
There is no single best manufacturer for every home. The most suitable range is one that can meet the calculated heating duty efficiently at the local design temperature while fitting the property’s hot-water, siting, electrical, acoustic and control requirements.
Can I choose the brand I prefer?
Yes. Tell us if you have a preferred manufacturer and we will assess it honestly against the property design. If another route is materially better suited, we will explain why before making a recommendation.
Does a higher flow temperature mean a better heat pump?
Not by itself. High-temperature capability can be useful in some retrofit situations, but efficiency generally improves when the system can operate at the lowest practical water temperature.
Do all heat pumps need a new cylinder?
No. Some systems use an integrated indoor cylinder, some use separate storage and certain hybrid arrangements may retain boiler-produced hot water. The correct route depends on the equipment and the household’s hot-water requirements.
Are all the manufacturers shown available for every project?
No. Product availability, output, warranty terms and suitability can change. Enerus confirms the current equipment options and project availability during the quotation and design process.
