Grant heat pumps
Grant heating, designed around the whole home.
Enerus designs and installs Grant Aerona air source heat-pump systems across the North East—bringing the outdoor unit, hot-water cylinder, controls and heat emitters into one calculated design.

Choose the equipment route
Two Aerona ranges. One design-led decision.
Select a range to compare its role. Enerus confirms the actual unit from heat loss, design temperatures, hot-water demand, electrical supply, sound and siting.

Grant Aerona 290
A contemporary black-cased range using R290 refrigerant, with five published heating outputs.
- Five heating outputs across the published range
- Aerona Smart Controller compatibility
- Seven-year guarantee available through qualifying G1 installations*
Available output at the North East design temperature and selected flow temperature—not the badge alone—determines the correct unit.
The current R290 range
Aerona 290 outputs from 4 to 15.5 kW.
Grant publishes five Aerona 290 heating outputs. The right choice is based on calculated demand and the unit’s performance at the project’s operating conditions.
- R290 refrigerant with published GWP of 3
- A+++ published ErP rating at 35°C
- Quiet Mark accreditation across the range
- Anti-freeze protection heater and heated base tray

Grant Quick Recovery 2 cylinders
Hot-water storage for different homes and spaces.
The QR2 family includes standard, slimline, pre-plumbed and cabinet-style options. Select a type to see how it fits into a Grant heat-pump system.

QR2 standard and slimline cylinders
Single-coil heat-pump cylinders from 150 to 300 litres, with narrower 150, 180 and 210 litre slimline models where cupboard width is limited.
- Duplex stainless-steel cylinder shell
- Large internal coil for rapid heat transfer
- Factory-fitted 3 kW immersion heater
Slimline models are 481 mm wide but taller than the equivalent standard products, so height, access and service clearances still need checking.
Grant Aerona controls
Control the complete heating and hot-water system.
Grant’s current Smart Controller provides the principal connected route, while the Remote Controller remains an alternative for compatible Aerona³ systems.

Aerona Smart Controller
A 4.5-inch colour touchscreen for heating zones, hot-water timing, weather compensation and system monitoring.
- Daily or weekly schedules
- Wired and wireless thermostat compatibility
- App and web access through the supplied WiFi Hub
- Installer portal for monitoring and diagnostics

Aerona Remote Controller
A compact interface for core heat-pump settings and live operating data on compatible Aerona³ systems.
- Displays flow and return temperatures
- Shows operating and defrost status
- Uses separate timing controls
- Not compatible with Aerona 290 models
The Enerus design process
A Grant product is only one part of the system.
Calculate the demand
Room-by-room heat loss establishes the duty, emitter requirements and intended water temperatures.
Build the package
Heat pump, QR2 cylinder, controls, hydraulics, electrical supply and siting are brought into one proposal.
Commission and support
Controls, weather compensation, flow rates and handover are completed as part of the finished installation.
Common questions
Grant heat-pump FAQs.
Which Grant heat pump should I choose?
The Aerona 290 is Grant’s latest R290 range, while Aerona³ is the established R32 family. Selection depends on heat loss, output at design conditions, required flow temperature, sound, siting, controls and the wider system.
What outputs are available?
Aerona 290 has published heating outputs of 4, 6.5, 9, 12 and 15.5 kW. Aerona³ has 6, 10, 13 and 17 kW models.
Does Grant offer slimline heat-pump cylinders?
Yes. QR2 single-coil slimline cylinders are available in 150, 180 and 210 litre sizes, alongside standard 150–300 litre products.
What is the QR2 Smart Integrated Cylinder?
It is a 210 litre pre-plumbed cylinder enclosed in a white cabinet with the Aerona Smart Controller factory fitted, intended for locations such as a kitchen or utility room.
Can I control a Grant heat pump from my phone?
The Aerona Smart Controller supports remote app and web access through its WiFi Hub. The older Aerona Remote Controller does not provide the same connected functionality.
Does a Grant heat pump qualify for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?
Grant states that its MCS-approved Aerona models are eligible for the scheme when the property and installation meet the applicable requirements.
