Samsung heat pumps
Connected Samsung heating, designed around the whole home.
Enerus designs and installs Samsung EHS air source heat-pump systems across the North East—bringing the outdoor unit, hot-water solution, hydraulics and controls into one calculated design.

Choose the system route
Samsung offers more than one way to build the installation.
Select a component to understand its role. Enerus confirms the final combination from the property design.

Outdoor heat pump
EHS Mono R290
Samsung’s current R290 monobloc range provides heating and can supply a compatible hot-water system.
- Four outputs for different calculated duties
- Single-fan dark-grey outdoor casing
- Can connect to ClimateHub or a suitable separate cylinder arrangement
*High leaving-water capability is conditional and does not mean the system should routinely run at its highest temperature.
EHS Mono R290 range
Four outputs. One property-based selection.
The range gives the designer options for different calculated heat duties.
Enerus checks output at the local winter design temperature and proposed flow temperature, along with electrical supply, sound, siting, system water volume and emitter performance.

High temperature, used intelligently
Up to 75°C does not replace good system design.
Samsung states that the EHS Mono R290 can provide leaving-water temperatures up to 75°C under defined conditions. That can widen retrofit options, but lower operating temperatures generally remain preferable for efficiency.
- Every radiator checked at the proposed water temperature
- Room-by-room heat loss used to establish required output
- Weather compensation configured during commissioning
- Hot-water temperature and recovery treated separately from space heating
A high-temperature capability is useful headroom—not a reason to copy boiler settings onto a heat pump.
Indoor equipment and hot water
Integrated ClimateHub or a separate-cylinder arrangement.
The property layout and household demand determine which route is more practical.

ClimateHub Slim Fit
An all-in-one indoor route combining hydraulic components, controls and stored domestic hot water in a coordinated unit.
- Less than 600mm deep according to Samsung
- Designed to align with modern utility appliances
- Capacity, access and service clearances still require checking

Wall-mounted Hydro Unit
A compact indoor hydraulic unit used with a separately selected compatible domestic hot-water cylinder.
- Allows cylinder capacity and position to be designed separately
- Samsung states the wall unit is 350mm deep
- Useful where an all-in-one tower does not suit the available space

Samsung EHS AI Home controller
A clearer way to control and understand the heating system.
Samsung calls its latest interface AI Home. It is sometimes described by suppliers as the EHS AI Home Kit or AI Hub. The detachable 7-inch colour display brings everyday heating, hot-water and energy information into one interface.
AI Home functionality depends on the selected Samsung indoor equipment and system configuration. SmartThings requires Wi-Fi, a Samsung account and compatible connected devices. AI Energy functions respond to usage patterns but do not replace correct heat-loss calculations, weather compensation or commissioning.
Design. Install. Commission.
The Samsung equipment is only as good as the system around it.
Establish the duty
Room-by-room heat loss identifies the output required at local winter design conditions.
Select the architecture
Outdoor unit, ClimateHub or Hydro Unit, cylinder, emitters, pipework and electrical work are specified together.
Set it up properly
Flow settings, weather compensation, hot water, balancing and customer controls are commissioned and handed over.
Samsung heat pump questions
Clear answers before you choose.
Which Samsung EHS output does my home need?
The R290 range includes 5, 8, 12 and 16kW models. Selection requires a room-by-room heat-loss calculation and performance at the intended outdoor and flow temperatures.
What is the pump-integrated R290 model?
It incorporates hydraulic components including the pump and expansion vessel, as well as control and Wi-Fi equipment described by Samsung. The correct architecture still depends on the whole system design.
What is the difference between ClimateHub and Hydro Unit?
ClimateHub is an all-in-one route with integrated stored hot water. The wall-mounted Hydro Unit is used with a separate compatible cylinder, giving more freedom over cylinder position and capacity.
Can Samsung EHS work with existing radiators?
Potentially. The 75°C capability widens options, but every radiator must still be checked against each room’s calculated heat loss at the proposed operating temperature.
What is the Samsung EHS AI Home controller?
AI Home is Samsung’s detachable 7-inch touchscreen interface for compatible EHS equipment. It provides heating and hot-water controls, schedules and supported energy information, with SmartThings and compatible PV functions available when the required connections and equipment are included.
What about the Samsung EHS Mono HT Quiet?
The R32 Mono HT Quiet remains a high-temperature option in 8, 12 and 14kW versions. Enerus compares the current product choices and refrigerant, output, siting and system requirements before recommending equipment.
