Which Vaillant aroTHERM plus size do I need?
The current range includes 3.5, 5, 7, 10 and 12 kW nominal models. Selection requires the room-by-room heat loss and the unit output at the proposed flow temperature and design outdoor temperature.
What is the difference between standard and slimline cylinders?
The principal practical difference is shape and footprint. A slimline cylinder can suit a restricted-width space, while the standard format may suit a wider cupboard. Capacity, recovery, access and pipework still need checking.
What does sensoCOMFORT do?
It manages heating and hot water and uses weather compensation to adjust system operation as outdoor conditions change. Vaillant offers wired and wireless versions.
Can I control a Vaillant heat pump by app?
Yes, when the compatible myVAILLANT connect internet gateway is included. The app can provide temperature, time and energy-consumption functions supported by the installed system.
Does aroTHERM plus work with existing radiators?
Potentially. Each radiator must be checked against the room heat loss at the proposed flow temperature. Some can remain; others may need changing where the calculated output is insufficient.
What guarantee is available?
Vaillant states a two-year standard guarantee for the current aroTHERM plus, extendable up to seven years subject to installer, cylinder, registration and eligibility conditions. The exact cover should be confirmed in the written proposal.
