This attendance charge does not include replacement parts or unlimited repair labour.

Should You Repair or Replace Your Boiler?

Many boiler faults can be repaired economically. However, replacement may be worth considering when the boiler is approaching the end of its expected life, parts are becoming difficult to obtain or the repair cost is disproportionately high.

Enerus will explain the available options without pressuring you into replacing a boiler that can still be repaired safely and economically.

Check out our blog post on this “Should I Repair or Replace My Boiler?” for in depth take on weighing up the options.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a boiler repair cost?

Our standard boiler repair appointment costs £99 and includes attendance, fault-finding and the first hour of labour. Additional labour is charged at £70 per hour. Replacement parts are charged separately.

Is the first hour included in the £99 price?

Yes. The £99 repair charge includes engineer attendance, fault-finding and up to the first hour of labour. It does not include replacement parts or additional labour beyond the first hour.

Are replacement parts included?

No. Any replacement parts required will be charged separately. Your engineer will explain the fault and confirm the expected cost before fitting chargeable components.

Can you repair my boiler during the first visit?

We aim to complete repairs during the first visit whenever possible. However, a return visit may be required if the boiler needs a specialist component that is not available on the engineer’s van or further investigation is necessary.

Which boiler manufacturers do you repair?

We repair most makes and models of domestic gas boilers. Please provide the manufacturer, model and displayed fault code when booking so we can confirm that we can assist.

Do you provide out-of-hours boiler repairs?

Limited out-of-hours appointments are available, subject to engineer availability. Out-of-hours attendance starts from £149, with replacement parts and additional labour charged separately.

What information should I provide when booking?

Please provide your boiler’s make and model, any displayed error code, a description of the problem and whether you still have heating or hot water. Photographs of the boiler, controls or error display may help us prepare for the appointment.

Should I repair or replace an older boiler?

This depends on the boiler’s age, condition, repair history, availability of replacement parts and the likely repair cost. We will explain the fault and provide honest guidance if replacement appears more economical than another repair.

Can I join the service plan after my boiler is repaired?

Yes, provided the boiler is operating correctly and meets the plan’s eligibility requirements. The service plan covers planned annual maintenance and member benefits; it is not breakdown insurance and does not cover existing faults, repairs or replacement parts.
